The Elliston Coastal Trail spans 13.6 km along the clifftop between Little Bay Surf Break and Cape Finnis. The trail can be explored on foot or by car, offering spectacular coastal views at every turn. If 13 km feels like too much, the trail can easily be experienced in sections, with the Clifftop Trail at 6.5 km, the Beach Loop at 5.7 km and the Little Bay Trail at 2.4 km. There are plenty of places to stop along the way, with parking available at key points. Large sculptures are dotted along the trail, including the giant pair of thongs and the distinctive head sculptures, providing great photo opportunities. The Recognition Sculpture at Little Bay Surf Break is also a significant stop. It recognises the massacre of Indigenous people at Waterloo Bay and offers a place for quiet reflection on our shared history.

Tranquil Venus Bay is the ultimate holiday destination. Incredibly popular with locals, Venus Bay – with its island dotted bay on one side and rugged clifftops on the other – is a favourite holiday destination for generations of people. The calm bay is excellent for water activities like water skiing, wakeboarding, knee-boarding, kayaking and swimming, as well as a reliable place to catch a feed. Anchor near the sandbar and swim away from the beach, or visit Fox Island and search for cockles. Tackle the South Head walking trail, there is no need to rush this 2.2km loop walk, in fact we suggest you take your time - you never know who you may run into!

When you're ready for a feed make your way back to the General Store for local goodness. Ask about the local Western King prawns - they're generally on the menu. Check out the statue of Pauly the pelican out the front of the shop and you'll learn about a well known local fishing family.

Port Kenny might be small, but the Port Kenny Hotel does a great meal! You'll find local fresh seafood on the menu. Port Kenny is close to some of the best experiences along the West Coast, and is a great spot to base yourself or stopover. The sea lions at Point Labatt, Murphy's Haystacks, Mount Camel beach, Talia Caves and Coodlie Park are all just a short drive.

Stunning coastal scenery, fantastic local seafood, and all the beach activities you could ask for – that’s Streaky Bay. It’s an ideal base to explore this rugged coastline, while also relaxing in the sheltered waters of the bay and enjoying the beach lifestyle. Walk, swim, cycle and snorkel your way around this epic environment as you taste delicious seafood – catch your own, or buy it freshly caught at a local store – and then when you need a break, head to a local café, bakery or the hotel and let someone else do the cooking.
There’s plenty of accommodation options, from two caravan parks to holiday houses and hotels to eco villas. And there’s so much to explore – Murphy’s Haystacks, Tractor Beach, Granites, Perlubie and several coastal drives. And we’ve still left a lot of stuff out!
Discover STREAKY BAY

Swim with the sea lions and dolphins at the home of the original tour. This is a must-do experience if you’re on the West Coast, the dolphins and sea lions really do play with you in the water! Don’t forget to drop a line in the water, too. Fishermen are rarely disappointed in this part of the world, with its 3000ha of protected bay teeming with wildlife. There are facilities to launch your boat, too!

Bard Bay Experience also offers superb accommodation or if camping is more your style you can pull up the van or roll out the swag and let the sea air wash over you.

Sceale Bay (pronunced Scale) is just south of Streaky Bay. It's a popular destination for locals and visitors for fishing and holidays. In off peak periods, the town is only occupied by about 40 residents, but things liven up in summer! It's a great place for kids to learn to swim, surf, fish and snorkel. This area is known for its beautiful secluded beaches and bays, including Heart Bay, named for its shape.
