Welcome to the Eyre Peninsula — South Australia's wild side.

You'll see it before you step ashore.

That vast sweep of coastline. The deep blues. The sense that things move a little slower here.

A place that feels big. Open. Untamed.

Yet somehow grounded, generous and quietly inviting.

Whether you have a few hours or a day to wander, this is your moment to step off the ship… and into something real.

Arriving in Port Lincoln

As you step onto the wharf, you'll be welcomed by a pop-up Visitor Information Centre — a relaxed starting point to get your bearings.

Chat with the locals, pick up a map, or get a feel for what's possible with the time you have.

From here, it's easy to move between the port and town. Shuttle services connect the wharf with the CBD, and on selected days, a hop-on hop-off style service offers a simple way to explore further afield.

If you prefer to take things at your own pace, Port Lincoln's foreshore begins right here — an easy, scenic walk that follows the curve of the bay into town.

For more in-depth local knowledge, the Port Lincoln Visitor Information Centre on Tasman Terrace is always worth a visit.

Wander at Your Own Pace

Sometimes the best way to experience Eyre is simply to walk. Follow the shoreline. Watch fishing boats drift in and out of the marina. Take in the wide, open views across Boston Bay.

In town, you'll find a collection of small shops, galleries and cafés — the kind of places where you can take a seat, sample the local food and drink, and let the day unfold. Along Washington Street, a market village comes to life for cruise days, with local stallholders gathering to share fresh produce, handmade goods and a warm welcome.

Choose Your Experience

If you're looking to explore beyond the shoreline, there are a range of experiences available on the ground, depending on your time and interests.

You might find yourself:

Out on the water, discovering the coastline by boat

Sampling local seafood straight from the source

Exploring historic sites and stories of the region

Discovering local wines, craft beers or gin

Visiting galleries, museums and cultural spaces

Taking a scenic drive into the surrounding landscapes

Or simply finding a quiet beach or café and taking it all in

No set path. Just options — and the freedom to choose what feels right.
